Last night at 18:23HRS we were requested for a reported chimney fire in a residential home. A neighbor reported elderly residents who needed help evacuating.

Any structural related alarms in our jurisdiction automatically gets a tower ladder from Verplanck to the scene. Montrose FD also goes on standby in their headquarters. This recently changed from our former “Tri-Village” standby.

Units operated with a confirmed chimney fire for about one hour. No extension was found to the residence. As always we thank our mutual aide partners.
