To the members of Buchanan Engine Co. #1. Thank you for all that you do for the village and carrying on the idea that my grandfather Rocco was a part of. It was great to see the old pictures. Thank you for preserving them.

Past Fire Marshal, IBM Research Yorktown & past Asst. Chief East Fishkill Fire District
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of past Chief Joe Chapyak. He was a key member of our IBM Yorktown Emergency Response Team and a great resource of knowledge and experience in our response efforts. My condolences to his personal and firefighting families.
It was a pleasure being able to come down today and visit your station. I had a great time chatting with all of you for the 3 hours I was there. Thank you for the tour of the station, the information regarding all of your trucks, and a little history of your department. It was also a pleasure to be able to trade patches with some of the others that were there. I look forward to coming down during the First Responder Collectable show you have in May. I'll see if I can get some of the fella's/ladies to come down as well (as long as I have that day off work).
Any time you want to come up and see our stations, you are more then welcome to. Like I told you when I was there, we have 3 different stations and 7 pieces of apparatus, 8 if you include the UTV. Plus we have our antique housed at station 1.
