Explorer Post #255, established in 2012, is our youth group which is run in conjunction with the Fire Department and the organization Learning for Life. Membership is open for youth ages 14 to 20. This program provides an excellent opportunity to explore a career in the fire service. Explorer Post members receive a full set of firefighting gear and participate in fire department training and hands on evolutions. Members also run their own meetings and fundraising activities. Many of our explorers continue on into the fire service, becoming volunteer/career firefighters, and Fire/EMS officers.
